My name is Trad Burmawi, and I'm a freelance graphic designer. I have lived in Berlin since I was ten, where I studied Graphic Design and Visual Communication. My goal is to use graphic design to highlight social injustices and challenge prejudices.
During my time as a Senior Graphic Designer and Art Director at ariadne an der spree – the Berlin-based agency for contemporary communication, I gained valuable hands-on experience, worked closely with clients, and learned that a great team leader meets colleagues at eye level, listens to them, and leads by example. I also discovered that work morale thrives on empathy, integrity, professionalism, and sometimes, a bit of humor. As an Art Director, I give constructive criticism when needed, always ensuring that respect remains the foundation for meaningful and productive discussions.
As a graphic designer, I‘ve developed a deeper way of seeing—going beyond the surface to analyze the meaning and context behind visual communication in everyday life. Each day brings new insights, keeping the world of visual communication endlessly fascinating. It’s where I feel most at home.
