"Moon Prism Power, Make up!" 🌙✨

Sailor Moon has always held a special place in my heart – you could say it’s my lifelong special interest. It taught me about love, friendship, and justice in a way that stuck. Even my German stayed alive because I watched it dubbed (my sister recorded the episodes in Germany and sent them to me in Jordan – shoutout to siblings everywhere keeping anime alive across borders ✨📼).

I created this animation a couple of years ago to celebrate the release of Sailor Moon Eternal on Netflix – but also to reconnect with something I had slowly forgotten: that feeling of making things just because I love them. nur aus Liebe zur Sache No external pressure, no client expectations—just joy, driven by the standards I hold for myself.

When I was a kid, I used to animate frame by frame in Windows Movie Maker (chaos! but I loved it). I had no fancy tools, but I had passion. Now that I do have the tools, I find myself caught in deadlines, monetization, strategy… and sometimes losing that spark.

This little animation reminded me why I started. As a graphic designer and illustrator, I approach illustrating through a design lens—clean, minimal, thoughtful. But this project came straight from the heart.
